the OBD plug

Catch the yellow light before it costs you 5,000 MAD.

Tamobila reads battery, brakes, oil, tyres, coolant, fault codes — straight from the car's OBD port. We surface the yellow lights to you before the customer notices. We never write to the car. No remote engine cut. No remote lock. Just visibility, the moment the sensor sees it.

Replace the battery this week — 400 MAD now or 5 000 MAD when it dies on the road.
Tow + lost rental + angry customer ≈ a full day off the road. We surface the yellow light so you book the garage before the red one.

The boring repair you skipped

Most breakdowns warn you twice. We make sure you see both.

A weak battery throws a yellow light weeks before it strands a customer. A coolant creep shows in the data days before the head gasket. Your customers don't read those signals — but their phones do, through the OBD plug. We read it for you, surface the language version of the warning, and tell you how long you have.

  • Battery voltage, alternator output, brake-pad wear, oil quality, coolant temp, tyre pressure.
  • Auto-WhatsApp on yellow — to the driver if it's safety, to you if it's maintenance.
  • Read-only by design. We never write to the car. Ever.
How it works in 60 seconds

Plug. Read. Alert.

01

OBD plug, five-minute install

Same unit as Track — under the dashboard, no wiring. The car's diagnostic bus does the work.

02

Continuous read, no driver action

The plug reports every few seconds. Battery, coolant, brakes, oil and fault codes are tracked the whole rental.

03

Yellow light = WhatsApp

The moment a sensor crosses its threshold, you get the alert with context: what's wrong, how serious, how long you have, what it'll cost.

What you actually save

One avoided tow pays for the year.

≈ 5 000 MAD per tow avoided

No more roadside drama

A failed battery on the A7 is a tow + a hotel + an angry customer + a refund. Caught at yellow, it's a 400 MAD swap at the garage you already use.

− 1 day of car off the road

Plan repairs in slow days

See the maintenance creep coming, book the car in for service on a Tuesday. Not on a Friday-night call-out.

0 surprise check-engine returns

Customer never sees a warning light

The warning surfaces to your inbox, not to your customer's dashboard. They drive in peace, you stay ahead of the repair.

What we read · what we don't write

Read-only on purpose. Drawing the line, on the record.

Some "fleet" tools cut the engine remotely. We don't. It's illegal on a moving car in Morocco and dangerous everywhere. Here's exactly what's in scope and exactly what isn't.

What we read
  • Battery voltage
  • Alternator output
  • Engine coolant temperature
  • Engine oil quality + level
  • Brake-pad wear (where reported)
  • Tyre pressure (TPMS-equipped cars)
  • Fault codes (DTCs) — full set
  • Odometer, fuel level, RPM, speed
What we never write
  • Engine cut-off (remote stop)
  • Door lock / unlock commands
  • Speed limiter override
  • ECU reflash or parameter writes
  • Resetting fault codes silently
  • Anything that touches the brake or steering bus
FAQ

Car-health, plainly.

If yours isn't here, a human replies the same day at [email protected].

Does this work on older cars?
Every petrol or diesel car sold in Morocco since 2004 has OBD-II. We read what the bus exposes — older cars expose fewer signals (no TPMS, sometimes no brake-wear) but battery, coolant, RPM, fault codes work universally.
What about EVs?
Most EVs sold in Morocco (Dacia Spring, BYD, MG, Tesla) expose state-of-charge, motor temp, charging state, and DTCs over OBD-II or the manufacturer's API. We support the common ones and add new EV makes on request.
Will reading slow the car down?
No. OBD-II read commands are passive and take milliseconds. We rate-limit the bus to under 1% utilization.
What if I rent a customer's car, not mine?
Then you should not plug a Tamobila unit into a car you don't own — same as you wouldn't connect a tracker. For your own fleet, the plug is yours.
