Know who's renting before the keys leave the drawer.

License scan and CIN scan in four seconds. Fields read, names matched, signatures compared. Cross-agency blacklist — if they damaged a Logan in Tangier last year, you see it now. Tamobila writes the deposit recommendation for you, in plain language, before the customer finishes their espresso.

The 4-second background check

Two scans. One verdict. Plain language.

The agent snaps the CIN and the licence. Tamobila reads every field, checks one against the other, looks up the cross-agency blacklist, and prints the decision in a sentence. No risk-score gymnastics — your agent at the counter sees "Refuse this rental" or "Require a 3 000 MAD deposit", with the reasons listed underneath.

  • Names, dates and licence numbers cross-checked across documents — the fake licence outs itself.
  • Cross-agency blacklist run on every scan — opt-in network of Moroccan agencies.
  • Customer history across your own branches — last rental, return state, disputes.
  • Soft-hold on the deposit recommendation: the agent can override, but only with a logged reason.
How it works in 60 seconds

Two scans, one verdict.

01

Scan the CIN

The agent snaps the national ID with the phone camera. Name, ID number, photo, date of birth — read in under a second.

02

Scan the driver's license

Same camera, two seconds. Names matched across both documents. A wavy red line under the field that doesn't match — that's the fake.

03

Verdict on screen

Green: rent. Orange: rent with extra deposit. Red: refuse, with the reason. The agent reads the sentence aloud to the customer if they want context.

What you actually save

The bad rentals never happen.

≈ 8 400 MAD per blocked rental

Damages you'd have eaten

The cross-agency blacklist catches the customer who already ruined a car somewhere else this year. They're refused at your counter before they reach yours.

− 6 min per check-in

Faster, not slower

The OCR replaces manual data entry. The agent confirms what's on screen instead of typing — faster than the old way, even with the verification.

100% logged

The decision is on file

Why you accepted, why you refused, what deposit you set — every verdict is timestamped and signed by the agent who made it.

The pipeline behind the verdict

Five checks, in the order they fire.

Each check independently nudges the verdict. A single red flag doesn't block the rental — but two flags trigger the deposit recommendation, three trigger refusal.

01 OCR field extraction

Names, ID numbers, dates, photos, signatures lifted from both documents.

Fields populated
02 Document integrity

CIN and licence numbers checked against the published Moroccan format. Spoofed or photoshopped IDs fail here.

Pass / fail
03 Cross-document match

The name on the CIN must match the name on the licence. Same date of birth. Photo similarity above the threshold.

Match / mismatch
04 Cross-agency blacklist

Hash of the licence number queried against the opt-in network. Hit returns the incident summary.

05 Your own customer history

Past rentals across all your branches. Return state, deposits kept, disputes raised.

FAQ

Trust, plainly.

If yours isn't here, a human replies the same day at [email protected].

Who runs the cross-agency blacklist?
Tamobila operates the network. Each participating agency contributes incidents anonymously — only the hash of the licence and the cost band are shared, never the customer's full record. CNDP-aligned by design.
What if my agent overrides the verdict?
They can. The override requires a typed reason and is signed by the agent's account. If the rental later goes wrong, the override line is in the dossier — accountability is preserved, not hidden.
Does the OCR work in Arabic?
Yes — both the CIN and the licence are issued in Arabic and French. Tamobila reads both scripts and matches across them.
What about tourists with foreign licences?
We support the EU, UK, US and Gulf standard licence formats. Cross-document matching still runs against the passport. Cross-agency blacklist only includes Moroccan-licence customers, by network policy.
